We told you over the weekend that Billboard was projecting
Big Time Rush's new album would debut at #3 with around 45,000 copies sold - BUT it turns out their projection was a bit high and the album actually did a little bit lower than that, however it's still in the top 5.24/Seven
debuts at #4 on the Billboard 200
this week with only 35,000 copies sold. As we also told you over the weekend, Billboard states that is far lower than Elevate's opening week numbers which were 70,000 copies sold and debuting at #12 on the chart.
To put the whole thing in perspective for you, here's a look at the Billboard 200 top 5 this week:
1.) "13" - Black Sabbath (155,000 copies)
2.) "Random Access Memories" - Daft Punk (48,000 copies)
3.) "The 20/20 Experience" - Justin Timberlake (35,000 copies)
4.) "24/Seven" - Big Time Rush (35,000 copies)
5.) "Here's to the Good Times" - Florida-Georgia Line (33,000 copies)We're still super proud of our boys though! #4 is pretty darn good! You can see all the numbers on Billboard.com.
It looks like Big Time Rush's new album, 24/Seven
, will debut at #3 on the Billboard 200 next week! Billboard reports
that the album is projected to sell about 45,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on June 16 to land that #3 spot.
Now although it's GREAT that our boys are projected to take the #3 spot on the Billboard 200, if the projection of 45,000 copies sold comes true it would be the lowest opening week for Big Time Rush. Back in 2011, Elevate
debuted at #12 on the Billboard 200 and sold 70,000 copies in its first week. Before that, in 2010, BTR's debut album debuted at #3 and sold 67,000, according to Billboard and Nielsen SoundScan.
No matter what though, the boys certainly can be proud of the chart position! We'll find out officially what spot the boys land in on Wednesday, June 19. Be sure to go support the boys and download a copy of 24/Seven on iTunes
or go out and pick up a copy! What's your favorite track from 24/Seven??PS- Follow our partners @HitZoneOnline for a chance to win a Big Time Rush Prize Pack, including 24/Seven, when they reach 1,500 followers!

"Oops." Carlos tweeted today, two days after it appeared he accidentally posted the below video publicly. The song used is called "Love Me Again" a previously unreleased song by Big Time Rush and is accompanied by uncut footage from the guys messing around in a hotel area in Brazil a scant two hours before their show there last fall. It was posted to his youtube account
with the description "Boys Let me know if you approve, ill then save it for when the album gets released in June. Good times to come this summer!" which makes it look like he meant to post it privately. However, when he realized his mistake today (see: "oops.") he did not remove the video. So, we here at CarlosPenaNOW decided it was okay to post it now ;)
What do you think of the music video? BOP & Tiger Beat call it the BEST BTR Music Video ever! Do you agree? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
