_Carlos is currently a member of the band Big Time Rush, signed by Columbia Records, they released their debut album "B.T.R." on October 11, 2010 and peaked at #3 on the Billboard chart selling 67,000 copies in it's first week! The album was mostly comprised of songs from the TV show of the same name but did feature "Oh Yeah" a song written by Carlos and his Big Time Rush bandmates with help from Kevin Rudolf. In 2011, the album became a certified gold record after selling over 500,000 copies! The band's second album, "Elevate" was released just over a year later on November 21, 2011 and peaked at #12 on Billboard chart selling 70,000 copies in it's first week. This album featured many more songs written by the band which include "Music Sounds Better With U", "Invisible", and "Love Me Love Me" among others.

The band has also seen some success on US radio as well, with their singles "Boyfriend" and "Music Sounds Better With U" (peaking at #26) both reaching the top 40 in the Top 40 Radio Mediabase Airplay Charts. 

In addition to the band, Carlos currently stars as Carlos Garcia on the hit Nickelodeon TV show of the same name, "Big Time Rush". Created by Scott Fellows, Big Time Rush centers around a group of best friends from Minnesota who get a chance to become a band in Hollywood. Currently in it's second season, BTR is one of Nickelodeon's top shows and holds the record for the most watched premiere in network history with 6.775 million viewers!  The success of the show lead to a TV movie called "Big Time Movie" which premiered on Nickelodeon on March 10, 2012 in which the band covered songs from musical icons, The Beatles.
